Cookie Notice
Possessions uses storage necessary to authenticate, secure and operate the vault. Optional public-page analytics starts only after a visitor chooses to allow it. We do not use advertising cookies.
Strictly necessary storage
A secure, HTTP-only session cookie keeps an unlocked server session authenticated for up to 12 hours. Browser session storage temporarily holds the locally unwrapped vault key and Quantum ID for the active tab/session. It is cleared when you lock the vault or clear browser storage.
Optional public-page analytics
After you choose “Allow limited analytics”, our self-hosted Matomo instance records the public page path, referring channel, ordinary browser/device information and a short list of product-funnel actions such as opening the demo, viewing pricing or beginning account creation. The tracker is configured without analytics cookies, respects browser Do Not Track, removes query strings from the recorded URL and never receives a Quantum ID, Master Secret, Recovery Key, asset name, address, coordinate, value or other vault content. Matomo is not loaded inside the authenticated private vault.
Your analytics preference is stored locally in your browser. Declining analytics does not restrict the product. Public-page analytics and optional product events are retained for up to 24 months.
Third-party components
Map tiles and interface libraries are loaded from named external providers. These providers may receive ordinary request data such as IP address and browser headers. Stripe sets its own storage on its hosted checkout and billing pages under Stripe’s notices.
Consent
Strictly necessary storage does not require optional consent. Optional analytics is not loaded until you allow it. You can reopen the choice at any time through “Analytics settings” in the public-page footer. We do not currently use marketing or advertising storage.
