Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective 13 August 2026 · Version 2026-08-13-dpa · You can print or save this page for your records.

This policy explains the public demo and monthly or annual Possessions memberships. Published membership prices exclude tax. Applicable VAT, GST or sales tax is calculated from the billing location and added at checkout before payment.

Public demo and paid access

The interactive demo uses fictional data and is free without a payment card. Possessions does not offer a free private-data trial. Creating private access does not itself incur a charge, but adding or changing private vault data requires an active paid membership selected through Stripe.

Checkout territory and tax

Paid memberships use Stripe Managed Payments only in supported countries outside the EU/EEA. Customers with an EU/EEA billing address are not eligible to subscribe. Stripe’s Link service is merchant of record and handles applicable transactional VAT, GST and sales tax, including calculation, collection, filing and remittance. Prices are listed in GBP; checkout shows the final charge, tax and any local-currency presentation before payment. Availability is subject to Stripe/Link country, product, sanctions and payment-method support.

Memberships

Annual prices provide twelve months for the price of ten. Fair use protects service stability and does not impose a routine numerical cap. Multi-person roles, automated bulk migration, bank, utility and other external integrations are not included. Only functionality currently visible in the product is part of the membership.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew monthly or annually according to the billing cycle selected at checkout until cancelled. Manage or cancel through Link using the Membership control in Possessions. Cancellation stops future renewals and paid access normally continues to the end of the current paid period.

Cooling-off and refunds

If UK or other mandatory consumer law gives you a cooling-off right, it remains available. By asking for immediate paid access, you request that service performance begin before the cooling-off period ends. If you cancel during a statutory cooling-off period, we will provide any refund required by law and may deduct a lawful proportion for service already supplied where applicable. Outside mandatory rights, payments are normally non-refundable, but duplicate charges and technical billing errors will be corrected.

How to cancel or request a refund

Use Membership → Manage or cancel billing to open Link, or contact Link transaction support from your order. For product-access help, email contact@lightanddarkenergy.uk. Do not send vault credentials. Mandatory refund and cancellation rights remain unaffected.

Price changes

We will give reasonable advance notice of price changes applying to a future renewal. You may cancel before the changed price takes effect.
